I've been attempting to blog for about 3 months. I have a list of excuses. Honestly though it's not my favourite thing to do. This however was a wedding so full of laughter, hilarity, beauty and sincere fun that I finally had to sit down and share. Annabel & Chris seriously had the most incredible wedding fest you could ever hope for. Annabel had everyone laughing the entire day with her infectious energy and Chris's speech was something everyone woman would hope for, a rap ode to her from all the Friday nights she rapped to him and their dog. The party after was epic and I just have to share too many images....

Little Splendour In the Grass 2016

Inside the murky depths of Splendour in the Grass 2016 was magical Little Splendour for the little people.

Lina & Kevin's Wedding ~ Clarke's Beach, Byron Bay

Here is Lina & Kevin's wedding story. It was back in January but even looking at the imagery now takes me straight back to so many incredible moments of their day. So much laughter, just a few tears, that take your breath away first look and the crazy pants down dance floor antics.  It's always an honour and I'm always grateful to be asked to capture weddings, especially when everyone is as fun and fantastic as these two and their family and friends.

Shannon & Chris Elope ~ Koonyum Range Retreat

This Intimate elopement in the Byron Bay Hinterland was also featured on Polka Dot Bride. Their story is so so sweet.

A young girl of only 10, bare faced and scruffy haired moved to a new Darwin school. There she met a boy, blue eyed and full of silence that made her tummy flutter and face grin ear to ear. She knew that he liked her, but the words never passed his lips. Whispers in the school yard reinforced their feelings for each other. A tug of war friendship transpired, their unspoken words and passing glances sending their hearts racing and their minds to a wonderland of future promise. The years passed quickly and soon they were off to different high schools, never far from each other’s thoughts and what might have been. In 2009 curiosity got the better of them and they reconnected. They promised each other that if they were ever in the same place they would meet up and reminisce on days gone by.

On the 16th of May 2015, their lives changed forever. Meeting once again, face to face for the first time since childhood. They had come full circle. Falling in love again quickly and without fear they were soon best friends, lovers and partners in crime. One year to the day later, under the shade of a fig tree in the school yard where they first met, Chris proposed to Shannon. She said yes.

Two of the most gorgeous souls on this earth at one of the finest locations in the region and as always a Jewish celebration is full to the brim of life, energy and Hora dancing that almost everyone falls over in. It was an absolute blast and a huge shout out to Mikey Andersson for his amazing second shooting. Jenna & Reid what you have is special.
